Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

CASA volunteers are community members working collaboratively to support children and families involved in the foster care system. They provide a consistent presence for the child and family, facilitate nurturing relationships for the child, help find, engage and strengthen support networks for the child and family. They essentially amplify a child’s voice and promote positive outcomes for all involved. They truly make a difference in the lives of the families they serve. We can never thank them enough for their dedication and commitment, but we do our best to show gratitude each and every day.

In observation of Volunteer Appreciation, Brush County CASA held an Appreciation Dinner at the Salazar Building in Kingsville, Texas. The event was catered by local restaurant, Peyton’s and dessert was graciously donated by Pancake Tuesday. Volunteers were recognized and provided with a certificate and pin which highlights the years of service they have provided to CASA. They were also awarded a brand new CASA lunch bag filled with snacks.

The event was a relaxing and fun way to thank our volunteers for their continued support.

Special thank you to David Thibodeaux for donating the Salazar Building, and Pancake Tuesday owner, Bambi Rios for donating her pancake bar.
