Children’s Spring Festival: A Day of Joy, Awareness, and Community Support

In April, Brush Country CASA, in collaboration with the Department of Family and Protective Services, the Kleberg County Child Welfare Board, and the Jim Wells County Child Welfare Board proudly hosted the Children’s Spring Festival—a vibrant and meaningful event held in honor of Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month.

The festival was designed to celebrate the children in our community and to give families an opportunity to enjoy a day of fun, connection, and learning. With a wide range of activities including games, crafts, music, and informational booths, the event offered something for everyone.

More than just a day of entertainment, the Spring Festival carried an important message: that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive. By combining celebration with education, the event helped raise awareness about the realities of child abuse and the vital role we all play in prevention.

We are incredibly grateful to all the vendors, community partners, volunteers, and families who joined us and helped make the event a success. Your support and presence showed our children that they are seen, valued, and loved.
