Local Sheriff’s Departments Contribute to CASA
Local Sheriff’s Departments in Kleberg and Brooks County showered CASA with an outpouring amount of support this holiday season. Sheriff Richard Kirkpatrick along with his staff, held their annual “Fill the Boat” event at Wal-Mart on Friday, December 16th in Kingsville, Texas. This year they chose to donate the toys to Brush Country CASA through the Zimmerman Law Firms gift collection. In addition to collecting toys and monetary donations, they also had Blue Santa and the Grinch in attendance.
On December 19th Nicole traveled to Falfurrias, Texas to accept a toy donation from the Brooks County Sheriff’s Department. Several bags of wrapped toys were provided for our CASA children for Christmas.
We are incredibly appreciative for the support of both offices and look forward to working with them in the new year.
