Brush Country CASA attends Amplifying Advocacy Conference in Huntsville
The Brush Country CASA staff hit the road to Huntsville to attend the Amplifying Advocacy Conference on September 14-15.
The conference focused on the “Power of One” theme in relation to the impact advocates can make for an individual child and aimed to educate attending volunteers and staff members through informational sessions.
Session topics included Court Practices, Dangers of Social Media, Confidentiality, Domestic Violence and an update on the 88th Legislative Session and its implications for CASA.
There were also three keynote speakers as Bonnie Crane Hellums, Dr. Alisa White and Dr. Elizabeth McIngvale shared personal stories about experiences, lessons and overcoming personal obstacles
