Brush Country CASA Attends Check Presentation for Coastal Bend Day of Giving

Brush Country CASA representatives were proud to attend the check presentation for the Coastal Bend Day of Giving, an annual event that brings together local organizations and individuals to support charitable causes in the Coastal Bend area.

The event, which took place on November 12th, showcased the generosity of the community. Brush Country CASA was one of the organizations that received support from the event, which aims to raise awareness and funds for programs that help reduce homelessness, fight hunger, support children, and improve health. “We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Coastal Bend Day of Giving,” said Jennifer Rodriguez, Executive Director of Brush Country CASA. “The funds we receive help us continue our mission of advocating for children in foster care, ensuring they have a voice and the support they need to thrive.”

The Coastal Bend Day of Giving is an initiative designed to empower local nonprofits by connecting them with donors who are passionate about giving back to their communities. This year’s event saw a record number of donors and organizations participating, making it a successful occasion for all involved. Brush Country CASA plays a vital role in the the 5 counties they serve, providing volunteer advocates to represent the best interests of children in the foster care system. Their work is essential in ensuring that children receive the care, safety, and stability they need during what is often a tumultuous time in their lives.

The check presentation ceremony was a moment of celebration for Brush Country CASA, with the funds raised going directly toward sustaining their critical programs and services. “We could not do this work without the support of our community,” added JayLene Garza, Outreach Coordinator. “This funding will help us continue to advocate for vulnerable children and work toward a brighter future for those we serve.”

Brush Country CASA encourages anyone interested in making a difference in the lives of children to get involved by volunteering, donating, or spreading awareness about the importance of CASA’s mission.
