Brush Country CASA is calling on compassionate members of the community to step forward and become volunteers for children in foster care. These vulnerable children need dedicated advocates to ensure their voices are heard in court and their best interests are protected.
As of May 20, 2025, there are currently 48 children in the Brush Country area without a CASA volunteer, meaning they do not yet have a dedicated advocate to stand up for them. This number can change at any time, but the need remains urgent.
“Every child deserves a safe and loving home,” said Jennifer Rodriguez, Executive Director of Brush Country CASA. “Our volunteers make a lasting difference by providing support, guidance, and advocacy during some of the most challenging times in a child’s life.”
Volunteering with Brush Country CASA requires a commitment of only a few hours each month, but the impact lasts a lifetime. No special experience is necessary, just a caring heart and a desire to help children in need.
Interested individuals can learn more or apply at www.BrushCountryCASA.org or by calling 361.595.7233 and speaking with our Outreach Coordinator, JayLene Garza.
