VOLUNTEER!

CASA Welcomes New CASA Volunteers – February 2022

CASA is so excited to welcome our newest volunteers to our excellent group of CASA volunteers. Catharine “Kaki” Armiger and Samantha Gray were all sworn in by Judge Jaime E. Carrillo on February 11, 2022 in Kleberg County.

CASA volunteers are the heart of our organization. Their role is to support children and families involved in the child welfare system. CASA volunteers are assigned to one or two cases at a time, focusing solely on that one child or sibling group and their families. They advocate for the best interest of the children they serve, and help to re-establish healthy family connections. CASA volunteers work hard to ensure the child is safe during their time in foster care, and stay by the child’s side throughout the duration of the case, working to ensure the child’s and family’s needs are met.

Brush Country CASA is currently accepting volunteer applications. For more information on how you can become a CASA volunteer, please visit www.brushcountrycasa.org/volunteer or contact Nicole Ortegon at 361.595.7233. Call today. Help us reach our goal of a CASA volunteer for every child in foster care in Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Kenedy and Kleberg Counties.
